If you used an iPhone to access the Uber App and were charged a “Logan Massport Surcharge and Toll” or a “Logan Massport Surcharge” or a “Massport Surcharge” or an “East Boston Toll” by Uber for rides to or from Logan Airport, then you may get a payment from a class action settlement in Cullinane, et al. v. Uber Technologies, Inc.

A class action lawsuit, Cullinane, et al. v. Uber Technologies, Inc., was approved in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, No. 14-cv-14750 on January 29, 2020.  The Settlement requires Uber to pay $3 million to a Settlement Fund to be used to make pro rata payments to the Uber Account of each Settlement Class Member who has an Active Account, and paid an $8.75 “Logan Massport Surcharge and Toll” or “Logan Massport Surcharge” or “Massport Surcharge” or a $5.25 “East Boston Toll” for rides to or from Logan Airport.  Settlement Class Members who do not have Active Accounts will receive a check for their pro rata share of the Settlement Fund from the Settlement Administrator as defined in the Settlement Agreement if a mailing address is available for them. 

Settlement payments in terms of credits to Active Accounts and checks to Inactive Accounts took place April 2020.   Checks were sent on July 5, 2022 to Class Members with Active Accounts with unused credits of greater than $5.00 for whom an address was available.   

If you recently received an email from the settlement concerning a second distribution for Settlement Class Members, please go to the"Address Change" menu page of this website and submit your current address, using the Claim ID and PIN from your email.  Submitting your current address will trigger a claim being filed.  

Your Legal Rights And Options In This Settlement
Do Nothing, Accept The Settlement Benefits, Be Bound By The Final Judgment And The Release of Claims	If you do nothing, and the Court approves the proposed Settlement, you will automatically receive the Settlement benefits, and you will be bound by the Court’s final judgment and the release of the claims explained in the Settlement Agreement.
Opt Out of The Class	Get no Settlement benefits. This is the only option that allows you to ever be part of any other lawsuit against Uber concerning the legal claims in this case.
Object	Write to the Court about why you don’t like the Settlement. You may also ask to speak in Court about the fairness of the Settlement. You do not have to appear in Court to object.
